The Health KTN is dedicated to accelerating innovation & technology exploitation in the health industries sector. This includes the Medical Biotechnology, Medical Technology, Diagnostics and Pharmaceutical industries.
 
The Health KTN will help you connect with other organisations to catalyse innovation. This could include companies, the science and clinical base and the public sector from both within and out with your sector. It does this through running events and workshops for practitioners and innovation leaders in its priority areas and creates awareness of funding vehicles at the public-private sector interface.
The KTN  also manages Innovation Platforms (IP’s) which are areas of activity around an area of societal demand and challenge, as well as looking at key priority areas within our sectors.

ALIP Project ‘CO-MODAL’

The KTN is pleased to be supporting  on our stand the ALIP Project ‘CO-MODAL’ represented by Coventry HDTI
Coventry University Health Design & Technology Institute supports the development of new and innovative community healthcare products and services. Focusing on independent living for older people, people with disabilities and chronic health conditions. 

Our services are used by the NHS, Social Services, Community Pharmacies and commercial healthcare companies.

We provide a range of innovative patient communication services to help improve productivity, quality and equity. These services are low cost and scalable, making it affordable to communicate with a large number of patients on a regular basis.

We design services that make it easy for patients to communicate with clinicians and healthcare providers.  Some patients may be young and very familiar with digital technology, but many will also be elderly or disadvantaged and not have access to the latest communication devices. It is important therefore, that services are tailored to meet the needs of the patients. So we provide a range of communications media including automated voice, SMS and email.  This means we are able to develop services that let patients  choose the communication medium that is right for them as well as choosing the time of day that is most convenient. For patients who do not speak English we are also able to provide messaging services in their own language.

Simple Telehealth is the multi-award winning, NHS inspired and owned Telehealth solution. Simple Telehealth (STH) is designed to enable many thousands of patients take responsibility for the monitoring and management of their own condition or treatment. STH’s innovative methods allow multiple healthcare teams to share patient information and assist patients in the management of their own care.

STH is used to:

• Regularly collect, monitor and alert on any biometric observation or question tree and many validated questionnaires.
• Improve concordance with treatment regimes through encouragement, reminders and interactive contact.
• Enable improvements in clinical team productivity and outcome quality
• Engage patients in their health and social care pathways and services
